UXBRIDGE — Take TIME and make a healthier lifestyle a reality.
The health promotion campaign ‘Take TIME’ (tobacco free, injury free, moving daily, eating healthy) was launched in Sept. 2010 and strives to provide opportunities for parents, caregivers and children that will enable a healthier, more satisfying lifestyle for free while encouraging the important elements of TIME.
“We are really just trying to get kids to live healthier lifestyles in the community,” said Li-Ann Yap, project research student.
The campaign offers various activities throughout Uxbridge one to two times per month including cycling, curling and much more. As part of the outreach program, Joseph Gould Public School recently hosted Kids Versus Parents Track and Field Day. Take TIME partners with The Salvation Army, Precious Minds, Uxbridge BIA, the Uxbridge Youth Centre and others.
